Über mich

Im Erzgebirge geboren, in Berlin aufgewachsen, erst hinter der Mauer, dann ohne die Mauer. Mit 14 bekam ich einen Astrologiebaukasten zum Geburtstag geschenkt, das erste Übungshoroskop erstellte ich per Hand für Prinzessin Diana, das zweite für den Mathelehrer. Nach dem Abi das Studium in Übersetzen und Zentralasienwissenschaften in Leipzig und Lausanne. Die Sachlichkeit der Ausgangstexte und der Zauber tibetischer Märchen. In der Schweiz entdeckte ich das Literaturübersetzen und, auf Tuchfühlung mit der Natur gehend, auch die Sprache des Körpers als neuen Arbeits- und Übersetzungsgegenstand. Kurz darauf nahm ich die erste Yogastunde, ein paar Jahre später unterrichtete ich eine. 

Heute lebe ich in Berlin als freie Übersetzerin aus dem Englischen und Französischen, unterrichte Yoga für Gruppen und einzelne Menschen und berate regelmäßig in astrologischen Konsultationen.

About Me

I was born in the Ore Mountains and grew up in Berlin—first behind the Wall, then without it. At 14, I received a beginner’s astrology kit for my birthday. My first practice chart, drawn by hand, was for Princess Diana; the second one was for my math teacher. After finishing school, I studied translation and Central Asian studies in Leipzig and Lausanne—balancing the precision of technical texts with the magic of Tibetan folktales. In Switzerland, I discovered literary translation and, through close contact with nature, also began exploring the body’s language as a new field of work and translation. Shortly after, I took my first yoga class; a few years later, I began teaching.

Today I live in Berlin, working as a freelance translator from English and French, teaching yoga for groups and individuals, and offering regular astrological consultations.
